Spring picks + purchases

Spring picks

We might be on the cusp of spring finally showing up and sticking around here in D.C. and my recent uptick in shopping is proof! I'm slowly remembering what it's like to not be in several layers and it's making me excited for all the things warm weather brings...but mostly the clothes ;)

I immediately added this jacket to my cart when I saw it a few weeks ago. It's a dupe for one I fell in love with last year but for a fraction of the price. And since I wear a lot of jeans, tees and sneakers, it'll be perfect to throw on as a light layer. You also know I love a good blazer so I've been stocking up on lighter versions for spring. This one is gorgeous in person! I ultimately had to return it because it was a little too oversized for me, but I'd still highly recommend. I also snagged this cute gingham one and love it. So lightweight and comfy!

I finally pulled the trigger on these jeans. Yes, they're pricey. But I've had such a hard time finding girlfriend/mom jeans that fit me well since I'm so petite. (I'm in love with every pair Levi's makes and swear I've ordered every version but they're all just way too big on me. The. Worst.) But these are amazing...mostly because they already have a raw hem so I could cut the bottoms even more haha. I'd suggest sizing up if you order them.

And as someone who doesn't typically wear much color -- let alone red -- I definitely surprised myself when I ordered this dress. I was so drawn to it and even opted for this color combo over the navy blue version. I know...who am I? Also, this necklace has been on major repeat lately and I can't wait to wear these designer dupe slides. They're so comfy!

Oh, and I haven't forgotten that it's been a while since my last post. I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things and on a regular schedule again. And explain the absence. I promise, I'll get there. Thanks for sticking with me ;)
