You know I love a good sale. Who doesn't, really? And this time of year, the clearance rack pickings are at their prime! Stores are scrambling to get rid of all their winter stuff to make room for warm weather pieces, and their purge is our gain. More often than not, you can still get a few weeks (or months, at the rate we're going with this ridic weather) of wear out of your sale finds since a lot of them are the perfect transitional items for when you have no idea what to wear in the morning.
I love mixing winter-y pieces with items that are great for spring. Take that floral blazer, for instance. It has just a hint of the upcoming season but is still totally appropriate to pair with faux leather leggings. It's also a good time to gradually ease your way back into shoes that aren't boots/don't require layers of socks. I'm particularly excited to try the mule/clog trend this year, starting with those black and white Jeffrey Campbell beauties -- holy swoon!
