We've all been there. You have somewhere to go, but you really don't feel like changing out of your leggings and sweatshirt. Through the rain drops on your apartment window you see people on the street below holding umbrellas and clutching their jackets closed against the wind and, suddenly, leaving your warm couch seems like some form of cruel, self-inflicted torture.
So what do you do? You compromise, that's what. Which is exactly what I did with this outfit. Of course I couldn't have left my ratty old leggings on with this sweatshirt, but if you think about it, I really only tried halfway. Throw on a quilted faux leather skirt and you have yourself a cozy outfit for a rainy night out. I felt comfortable and almost like I was cheating a little bit since I was wearing a sweatshirt, after all. But the studs totally make it work, IMHO. Plus, it's less you have to change out of when you get home and go straight back to those leggings. Win.
