I was feeling a little defiant when I got dressed yesterday. I decided that if the weather was going to act like fall, then I was going to dress for fall (even though we all know my feelings on summer ending). Surprisingly, these shorts have been one of my favorite pieces to wear year round -- even though they're (faux) leather. They're absolutely perfect for any weird transitional weather, like what we're currently having in D.C.

Also, what you saw on Instagram a few months back wasn't a thing of myth! I did make a big girl purchase with these Christian Louboutins, and have been in love ever since. To be honest, I had mixed feelings about debuting them here since I try to focus on budget-friendly pieces. That's how I live my life and I know it's part of the reason you all keep coming back day after day! That being said, I believe in making investment purchases and buying pieces that are incredible quality and will last you years to come. These are one of those items for me. And since they're now officially part of my wardrobe, it's only right to share!
