Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you my feet have long been suffering because of poor footwear choices. If I'm not in heels, I'm in some sort of flat/sandal with no arch support. And there's a reason I carry Band-Aids around in my wallet. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me I'd regret my stilettos later...well...I'm pretty sure I'd be able to buy a pair of Louboutins (which probably don't give you blisters)!
But as I'm getting older - I'm 26 now, you guys - I'm thinking more and more that it might be a good idea to, at least sometimes, wear shoes that are comfortable, good for my feet and practical. I know, this is difficult for me, too.
Recently, I've been warming up to the idea of investing in a pair of tennis shoes/not-quite-for-the-gym sneakers. Especially after seeing how Jules pulls them off so well! But I have to be honest, this is like a whole new shoe world for me where the only brand names I know are Converse and Keds (who actually designed a few pairs for Madewell). Not bad options, and I've rounded up some that are currently in the running below, but I'm hoping you, my lovely readers, will offer your suggestions!
Thoughts? What do we think of the ones I've already picked out? Are there any others that I should be considering? And thanks in advance for your suggestions!
XO,
Alison
P.S. You can also check out some freshly pinned inspiration that include a pair of sneaks (yes, I meant to type sneaks) here!
someone I work with came in on a day off wearing Keds and it took me back to when I was a kid. I miss my keds. I say get those : )

I miss Keds too! Some people are wearing them in the show that I'm in right now and I'm so jealous. I need to get a pair! I have converses and I love them! So comfy and fashionable!
ReplyDeleteI wear sneakers all the time, specially in the summer. I am a big fan of Tretorns, which you can get at J.Crew as well as Endless, though I am currently wearing and loving this particular pair from Converse:

I'm liking the two-tone ASOS ones and the mint Vans! Have you seen Superga sneakers? They come in some great colors!

I just got the tan Converse to replace my VERY worn out white pair. I absolutely love them and they go with everything...and I'm convinced that they somehow make me look "tan".
