Outfit post: Biker meets sailor

I thought about combining this outfit post with my recap of the CapFABB meetup, but ultimately felt it deserved its own day in the sun!

I have to say, this look was a little daring for me. If you know me, you'll know that I'm not necessarily predisposed to things that scream "livin' on the edge." And this faux leather skirt is kinda dangerous - sort of bad-A, if you will.

But I've really been trying to experiment lately, push my boundaries and think outside the sartorial box that we can sometimes put ourselves in - and I'm so happy I did! Since it was a beautiful fall day I could wear the skirt without tights, but can't wait to create other looks with it once the cold weather really sets in. I'm thinking a cozy sweater and wedge booties!

Thoughts? How would you style this skirt?
