A clever disguise

Once fall arrives, most people swap their strappy summer stilettos for the season's hottest new boots. Of course, there will be occasions when they're perfect to pair with tights. That is until the first snow hits the ground (Soggy tights? No, thank you.) and this option goes into hibernation until early spring. But what if you had a pair of these?

There isn't really anything practical about the Reed Krakoff leather and shearling sandal. From the front they can easily be mistaken for boots (or Sasquatch), but other angles give them away as being nothing more than a summer sandal covered in fur. Or, to be more specific, shearling - which is shaping up to be a huge trend for the cold weather months this year.

Still, I can't seem to decide how I feel about them. Part of me has flashbacks to the furry flip flops from a few years ago hawked by places like Abercrombie & Fitch, while another part of me thinks they provide the perfect opportunity to get away with wearing cute heels in the middle of winter. While I personally won't be rocking a pair, I give serious credit to anyone who does.
