File today's outfit under "reasons why you should never say never when it comes to fashion."
I had drawn a pretty stark line in the sand when the whole mom jeans trend popped up. I mean, there's a reason they're called "mom jeans" in the first place and it wasn't exactly a term of endearment. But this looser style is giving the good old skinny jean a run for its money. And somewhere along the way I went from giving major side eye to buying and returning at least half a dozen pairs in an effort to find the one that worked for me. (Side note: this isn't a very petite-friendly style.) I still had to cut these -- which is fine because I'm loving a good distressed hem right now -- and I think I want to rip the knees a bit more, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this laid back look. I'd still like to find a pair that's just a liiiiiitle bit tighter without losing the style, so if you have any recommendations please send them my way!
