Remember that time I got a pedicure and pulled out all my lightweight jackets and shoes that aren't boots because it was 75 degrees? Then remember how less than a week later we're bracing for a ridiculous storm that could drop a foot of snow on D.C.? I guess shouldn't be surprised since I don't have a great track record when it comes to weather in March. Our anniversary is at the end of this month and the year we got married I remember doing wedding prep a week before, outside, in a t-shirt. Then with three days to go we got hit with a massive storm, temperatures dropped and we all froze. I'm pretty sure my bridesmaids will never forgive me for the outdoor photos we took ;)
I guess that's a long way of saying I've learned to roll with the punches when it comes to March. And to not be surprised when I barely need a second layer one day and then have to dig out my puffer coat 72 hours later (aka today). I'm perfectly fine with dressing for the weather day by day, especially when it means I get to wear a few of my favorite spring pieces a little sooner than I had planned. This trench coat is my go-to on days when I only need something lightweight. I got it last season and, while it's still in stock and sizes seem to come and go (so keep checking back!), they're a bit limited. But this one is basically identical when it comes to style.
