I woke up earlier than normal this morning. Maybe it was because I had gotten the perfect amount of beauty sleep (yeah right) or it was because my brain just knew the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale had started. Orrrr I knocked my phone off my nightstand while trying to hit snooze and had to pick it up. You decide ;) Either way, the extra time gave me the chance to peruse in peace and pick out my favorites.
Let me first say that yes, I realize everyone is talking about the Anniversary Sale. And while I normally give a major eye roll to certain things us bloggers do, the hype over this is not one of them. I genuinely love this sale and shop it every year. Nordstrom is always a go-to for me, and this is a great chance to get some awesome wardrobe staples at a great price. Think of it as a reverse sale. Normally you have to stalk your wishlist items until the price drops and by that point you're almost to the next season. With this sale, you're getting the best deal now before it goes back up to full price.
When it comes to strategy, I like to add everything I'm even remotely interested in buying to my cart and then edit it down later. So clearly it shouldn't come as a surprise I had well over 10 items in there after a very short amount of time. I plan on doing another post with a huge roundup once the sale opens to the public next week (right now it's only open to Nordstrom cardholders -- so get on that if you want to shop it sooner!), but for now I wanted to share the top 10 picks from my cart -- some of which I've already purchased (this sweater, too).
