I am undoubtedly a stiletto girl. Probably because when you're under 5 feet you need a little boost to become eye level with the rest of the world. But this fall, I've been noticing the resurgence of kitten and mid-heel shoes. And as much as I love my sky high pumps, it's nice to be a little kinder to my feet. Especially now that I'm a momma!
It was actually this pair by Nine West that really got me excited to see this trend coming back. They're incredibly comfortable but still super chic. I was a little hesitant because the lower heel can sometimes give off old lady vibes, but I think the key is to make sure they have some additional detailing. Right now -- and with almost all of the pairs above -- its 's the ankle strap. It gives the lower heel a more modern, edgy look that I absolutely love. The d'orsay style (like #2) is another way to make this style appropriate for 2014. They also look amazing with boyfriend jeans and anything distressed, which I can promise you I'll be living in this fall!
