Happy weekend + link love
This was one of those weeks that didn't have a lot on the schedule but then filled up rather quickly and ended up flying by. Not that I'm complaining, though, because the husband and I have a few fun things lined up for the weekend, including some apple picking on Sunday! I know, I'm probably a little late to the game on this, but I can't wait!
Here are some things that are catching my eye this week...and I hope you have a great weekend!
1. I recently got to test out some shades from the new Color Elixir collection (worn here) thanks to Refinery 29 and Maybelline. They're so smooth and I absolutely love how they make my lips feel! They come in so many pretty colors and are perfect to keep in your purse. I highly recommend snagging one next time you're at your local drug store!
2. If there's one thing bloggers are known for loving (myself included), it's anything white and gold. So the only thing that could make the monogrammed Anthropologie mug -- a morning coffee staple, frequent focus of my Instagram photos and, essentially, a blogger must-have -- better is if it had that Midas touch. Well, friends, it exists. A gorgeous, gilded version of the all-time favorite. However, there's some kind of cruel practical joke going on where it's only available in the UK -- for now. Start working your overseas contacts...this is a must-have!
3. My love/hate relationship with winter continues. However, I recently created a new Pinterest board dedicated to some pretty images that make the frigid season seem less gray and cold and more cozy and sparkly! You can check it out here.
4. I've mentioned before that I want to create a gallery wall in my living room and am slowly collecting pieces/prints for it. Lately, I've been totally loving "fauxidermy." That's right. Faux taxidermy = fauxidermy. First, can I kinda just say that I love that someone actually coined this term. Second, Target just came out with a few really cute pieces that might be great to add to my collection! My favorite is the stag head, but I'm also loving the idea of having this guy on my table!
XO,
Alison
