Happy Friday + link love

Getting into the holiday spirit this year has been a little tough due to the passing of my dad. But I've decided that I don't want to be sad and he wouldn't want me to be sad, so I'm vowing to fully embrace the season. There is still so much to be thankful for and I truly want to enjoy all of those blessings. And with Thanksgiving next week, I though it'd be a good time to share some holiday-themed links that caught my attention over the past few days:

1. Ever since I saw this faux fur clutch on Penny Pincher Fashion I've been obsessed. The winter white color makes it so perfect for any and every holiday party and the fur adds a serious glam factor. Bottom line: it's a complete show-stopper.

2. I could not stop laughing after I saw this holiday ad -- once I got over the shock of what I just watched, that is! It's so wrong and yet so hilarious/brilliant all at the same time. And is anyone else surprised it's for Kmart?!

3. The idea of having personalized stationary is just so classy and I've been wanting to get a set for a while now. I'm always impressed when I receive a hand-written thank you and want to make a point of sending more myself (an especially nice gesture in today's online only world). I love this playful and fun set by Kate Spade, but am also really partial to a more classic embossed monogram option. Both would make great gifts!

4. After resurrecting my leopard booties in yesterday's outfit post, I'm thinking I might want to add a pair of similar pumps to my collection. The height, style and print on this pair from Nasty Gal recently caught my eye and might be the winning pair. Though in my dreams I actually buy these.

5. I always look forward to the to & from gift guide, a collection of carefully curated gifts from some of my favorite bloggers and the brain child of fellow DC blogger Meg Biram and the lovely Katie of Modern Eve. It's nearly impossible not to make a list of ideas for everyone you'll be shopping for (and maybe a thing or two for yourself) and I love looking through it for inspiration!

XO,
Alison

  1. I saw the photo in this post and thought I was reading another blog! It's Amber from Barefoot Blonde! (haha, that's a sign that I read way too many blogs!)
