Tuesday Temptations: Fall must-haves

If you plan on stocking up on fall essentials, you'll want to add these five items to your shopping list. It doesn't matter how or what form they take on for you (these just happen to be some of my personal favorites), but you're going to want to make sure they're in your closet this season. I promise you won't regret it and here's why:

1. Coated denim - If classic denim and faux leather leggings got together and produced a love child, this would be it. It's the perfect hybrid of the two and a great way to ease into the faux leather look if you're not yet fully on board. They're super sleek, comfortable and easy to dress up or down. There's really no reason not to buy a pair.

2. Booties - Ankle booties have really grown on me in the past year and now I can't seem to get enough. I love wearing them with cuffed jeans for a casual weekend look and they're a great alternative to flats. And when you're as short as I am, that's a huge bonus!

3. Oversized sweater - What's more cozy than a soft, oversized sweater? Answer: nothing. With leggings for lounging or a skirt for going out, you need one of these ASAP.

4. Plaid - This pattern ain't just for lumberjacks, friends. With so many fun color combinations, plaid is ideal for work or play. Toss on a sparkly necklace and you're good to go. It's also great for pattern mixing and layering.

5. Structured bag - It's time to pack away your slouchy boho bags from summer and invest in something that has a definitive shape. I'm actually a thousand percent obsessed with this Danielle Nicole bag and may or may not have already ordered it. Oh, and it's less than $100.

I'd also like to point out that you could wear everything above together as an outfit. I promise I didn't plan it that way, but it's awfully convenient now that I think about it, no? ;)
