I feel like it's been forever since I've done Purse Picks (okay, it's only been three weeks), but I forgot just how much fun it is to hunt down pretty handbags and clutches! And for whatever reason, I was completely struck by how pretty and summery that white woven crossbody bag was, which sent me on a hunt for other purses with the same detailing (online browsing/shopping is a rabbit hole, I tell ya!).

There's just something so quintessentially summer about woven fabrics. Maybe it's because it reminds me of outdoor wicker chairs and picnics and watermelon, etc. And since August is slowly creeping up on us, I'm trying my best to savor every last second, minute and hour of the warm weather. Why does summer always seem to fly by?

Speaking of, I plan on taking full advantage of my apartment's pool to beat the heat we're expecting here in D.C. this weekend. I'm also taking a kickboxing class for the first time so laying on a lawn chair may be all I'm capable of doing as my body attempts to figure out what happened to it.
