It's amazing what you start to focus on when you're not buying clothing or shoes and you need a little retail therapy! I guess I figured that if I wasn't dressing myself, I'd dress my home!

Not shopping for other things has also allowed me to really focus on figuring out my taste in home decor. It doesn't come as natural to me as putting an outfit together - mostly because buying a piece of furniture or decor is more permanent and that scares me - but I've definitely found a pattern in what I'm drawn to...and clearly I have a type!

The items above are just a few pieces I'm either currently lusting over or have recently added to our apartment. I've decided on a classic, neutral palette accented by metallic pieces and various shades of white. Safe? Maybe. But at least I know it's not something I'll be sick of in a few months!
