Last year's Fashion's Night Out was my first real fashion-related event as a style blogger. I remember traipsing around the cobblestone streets of Georgetown in the rain (and in heels) as I attempted to tweet and snap pictures - all while my poor husband held an umbrella over my head. It was also the night I shot my first outfit pictures (more on that later).
So it was both a bit surreal and bittersweet to be in New York City a year later for Fashions Night Out. I definitely missed being here in D.C. to mark a "milestone" in my blogging life, if you will, but it was also an indicator of how far I've come in such a short amount of time. I would've never imagined - as I sat soggy in a Georgetown bar at the end of the night with Vincent eating wings - that a year later I'd be in New York at Saks Fifth Avenue on the eve of my first Fashion Week show.
I know, I know. There should've been an "I'm about to get sappy on you" warning before this post. And I promise I'm done for the time being. But I really wanted to share my little "anniversary" with you - mostly because I have you guys to thank :)
XO,
Alison

These pictures are great, but I have to say (since I saw you that night) that I think you looked even more gorgeous in person! Still laughing about the random swimwear fashion show in the middle of the RSVP party :)
