She explained that staying true to yourself, your voice, & your style is the most important thing you can do. Trends will come & go but your voice remains constant.

It is easy to be influenced by the hundreds of fashion blogs you read but you love their blogs because of their creative content. Take a page out of their book, stay true to your voice and you will succeed.

I do social media for a living. if you dont stay authentic and yourself people will read right through it...I mean you can tell when you read blogs that are just copies of everyone else...and those are never the bloggers that will never have genuine fans! Just followed you on Twitter! The best advice I ever received was from my Nana on the day I left for college. She simply said, "no matter what, be a lady." In life, friendships, work life/business, I've always remembered Nana's reminder and it's helped me keep my poise and perspective (almost) always :)

More times than not, someone will come along and be able to relate with you and what you are going through. My boyfriend telling me to stand up straight. I was furious at him at the time, but it's true. Even if you're faking confidence, just standing tall makes you feel stronger, and there is nothing fake about that. Confidence is beauty. Grr why is he always right?
