Velvet has always been a staple of the holiday season. But now that we're all grown up, we probably want something a little different from the dresses mom used to put us in for pictures on Santa's lap. (Does anyone else have way too much photographic evidence of this? I know I do!)
Fortunately, I'm fairly certain any of these pieces will do the trick!
From office parties to family gatherings, it's easy to work this elegant textured fabric into your look. I love the idea of a dress or shorts paired with tights and a great pair heels. Or, for a more subtle touch, try an accent piece like the Juicy Couture clutch above.

HAHA Alison! I had many velvet dresses with little lace trims. LOL I love the blazers (I have a couple on my Christmas wish list) and that dress is amazing. :D

Hmmm...velvet shorts doesn't seem like a bad look. I'm looking for some cute velvet blazers. Black and rich color one. The red studded loafers you selected are really cute.
