Outfit post: Tourist casual

Could this past weekend's weather have been any more perfect? I think not! Vincent's cousin and his fiance came to visit so we were happy to have an excuse to get outside and spend time being tourists. Our first stop was the Capitol Building followed by a visit to the Jefferson Memorial.

The wind was not playing nice outside the Capitol which made it nearly impossibly to take pictures. Fortunately, we had much better luck at the Jefferson Memorial. Speaking of, have I mentioned that this historic D.C. landmark has a special place in my heart? It just so happens that Vincent and I got engaged there almost exactly two years ago (insert collective "aww" here). Ironically, at the time we had no idea we'd be living here once we got married. How fortuitous!

As for my outfit, jeans are definitely my go-to for the weekend and I pretty much jump at the chance to cozy up in a fall sweater - especially in this color combo (see my obsession here and here). And flats are a must for walking around the city all day. They get extra points for being leopard print!
