Though I'm still an outfit post newbie, I can definitely sympathize with the battle us bloggers face this time of year when it comes to having enough daylight to snap photos. We got home later than usual yesterday - just as the clouds were rolling in and the sun was setting - so I had to make a mad dash to the balcony. The shots you see here are the ones that were salvageable, as I think I ruined most of the others by constantly asking how they were coming out. Counterproductive.
Moving on.
Even though it's still pretty warm in D.C., I wanted to go for a cozy fall look. I really love how the delicate crochet and the more earthy, rustic cable knit look together, as well as how the booties add just a little bit of edge. I'm also currently obsessed with pairing sweaters and skirts, so apologies in advance if variations of this look pop up here all winter long.

I LOVE sweaters & skirts together because it's the best of both worlds. Snugly sweater that isn't so tight that you can't breathe + cute skirt= outfit perfection! & I do the same thing w. my husband when he's taking outfit pictures lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, Alison! I'm always excited when a new post pops up. Thanks for sharing your gift!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love this outfit. Also, when it gets dark at 5PM, it can be difficult to schedule time for a photoshoot.

I love how you mixed both of those textures. The lace looks really pretty with the sweater.
ReplyDeleteLove this looks! Perfect for fall! Though I wish it was just a bit cooler here!
ReplyDeleteAlison, I'm loving that sweater and skirt combination girl! Loving how you mixed the cable knit and lace. It looks really good together. And charcoal/smoky grey is FAB!!! Lookin' smokin haute girl! Glad you got your picture taking time in! This change of time is something! :( HAHAHA
