Pay less? Don't mind if I do!

Don't designer collaborations with mainstream stores just warm your heart? Mine too.

So when I was looking for a pair of neutral sandals earlier this summer, I was delighted to find this pair by Christian Siriano (of Project Runway fame) at Payless. That's right. Payless.

I can't tell you the last time I bought a pair of shoes from there. I might stop in on occasion to see if they have anything fabulous I can snag for a ridiculous bargain, but I'm hard pressed to find the "good shoes" in my size (I wear a 6).

To be honest, I really can't remember exactly how I stumbled upon these, but was so happy when I did! I love the cognac color (it goes with everything!) and gold detailing. And while I'm not a huge fan of espadrilles in general, I really like the small woven detail along the bottom. I feel like it adds a little bit of "oomph," don't you?

The fact that they were on sale only sweetened the deal. Plus, using my super sleuth (not really) Internet skills, I found a $5 off online coupon code. Then I opted to have them delivered to my local store so I didn't have to pay shipping. Grand total: $27. Bam!

The only downside, they've been slightly difficult to break in and my feet get mad at me if I wear them for too long. It's a work in progress.
