Fall is easily my favorite time of year (aside from it leading to winter, which, in all honesty, I could do without). I love the drastic change in department store displays and the way the colors and textures of the season make you feel warm, despite the arrival of cooler temperatures.
One of my favorite things I've seen so far this year is the takeover of suede. More specifically, suede shoes. Thigh-high, knee-high, and ankle boots, stilettos, and flats - this material does not discriminate. Add in detailing like chains or studs and suddenly the trusty peep-toe pump may have some serious competition.
When it comes to color, I tend to play it safe and stick to blacks, grays, and other neutrals so that I can easily pair them with what's already in my wardrobe. For those of you who wish to be a bit more daring, try a pair in electric blue, a royal purple, or red.
