Sofia's first birthday

I had such a blast finding inspiration for and planning Sofia's first birthday that I kinda want to quit my job and start doing crafts/baking things full time. Okay so maybe that's not realistic, but I seriously loved it! I spent the week leading up to her party making tissue paper pom poms, tassel garland, watching countless YouTube videos on how to properly ice cupcakes to make them look like roses and the easiest way to make an ombre smash cake. #Domestic.

Our place is small and we had a lot of friends and family over, so I kept the decorations simple and mostly confined, but am so unbelievably happy with how everything turned out. Of course, Sofia is too little to understand what was going on (and gets super shy around a lot of people, which is why she's so serious in a lot of the photos) but we think she enjoyed herself. Even more so after her post-smash cake bath and nap ;)

Below are just a few photos from the day. Some of them are taken by me and my iPhone, but the good ones are thanks to Grae from Fifteen Sixty!
