Happy Friday, loves…and happy Valentine's Day! If you're anywhere on the east coast you're probably already in weekend mode thanks to the snow, so I hope you're all staying safe and warm and don't have to venture outside. We'll be moving the rest of our stuff this weekend, so fingers crossed that the weather holds out! In the meantime, here's some link love for you while you sip on your hot cocoa:
-Faux leather track pants aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and after mentioning this pair (umm, hi, $25!) the other day, I couldn't help but hit purchase! Such a steal and I'm so excited for them to arrive!
-I never thought of my basic gray and white t-shirts as investment pieces, but I've bought far too many that just don't seem to fit the bill. They either don't last, stretch out/shrink or aren't the perfect cut and end up as pieces to sleep in rather than the closet staples I need them to be. I've always loved the ones by Alexander Wang and, more recently, Current Elliott's slouchy v-necks but can never bring myself to splurge. But with this growing belly and an increased desire for comfort, I'm thinking of taking the plug. Below are some of my favorites:
-I'm a sucker for fun little quizzes that distract from all things productive and the 90s teenybopper in me got roped in by this one that asks "What Spice Girl Are You?" I got Baby Spice. You know you want to take it ;)
-Every girl needs a white coat in her arsenal and I'm absolutely smitten with this one by Mango (aka my new favorite store). It's sleek and structured and looks way more expensive than it is! I can't help but think it might be perfect for spring :)
-Are you a fan of sample sale sites? I used to peruse them daily and got a few great pieces here and there but I definitely don't shop them as often as I used to. I guess I didn't realize it wasn't just me until I read this article by Refinery 29, which looks at if and why these flash sale sites are slowly losing steam. Makes for an interesting read!

I still buy things here and there from RueLaLa, but I actually opted out of the daily sample sale emails because they were getting ridiculous. I try to only buy "classic" items and it seems a lot of the offerings are more trendy pieces and even though they are heavily discounted that just doesn't work for me.
