2. Well, emerald, it's been nice knowing you. But in a few short weeks your "Color of the Year" title-- as decided by Pantone -- is being stripped. Radiant Orchid is the new "it" color for 2014. I'm still not sure how I feel about its year-long reign, but I guess I wouldn't mind trying out the trend in this stunning coat. Though I'll probably just settle for nail polish.

4. J. Crew is having 30% off everything from now until December 24. Yes, you heard me right! I wouldn't mind finding these glittery pumps under my tree and have my eye on this dress shirt that's been on Vincent's wish list. 5. Canadian airline WestJet recently played Santa -- literally -- for an entire group of passengers and got it all on film. It's the most heartwarming thing you'll see all day. Get your tissues ready!
6. I'm having major #FOMO regarding the blue and green plaid Zara blanket scarf that you've been seeing everywhere. Once "everyone" has an item, I tend to not want it anymore, but this was one of those exceptions. Unfortunately I waited too long and it sold out. If I was desperate, I could buy it for three times what it's worth on eBay, but am thinking this version, also by Zara, is a great option. And it would go perfectly with my cobalt coat ;)

As a red head I can't ever truly give up emerald because it just works too well with my hair color! I love me some purple, but I'm not exactly feeling Radiant Orchid. I'll take a page from your book and get some nail polish and call it a day!

I'll be honest, I like the other Zara scarf you posted much better than the one everyone has been wearing. I too get tired of seeing the same things on everyone. I like seeing things that are unique or an item that has a story (like your quest to find the cobalt coat!) much more so than the same scarf everywhere I look. And I see Radiant Orchid looking amazing on someone like my sister - dark hair, dark eyes, and a darker skin tone. Not exactly sure yet how much I'm loving it for myself.
ReplyDeleteSo, that Zara scarf. I am obsessed, obviously... and I wanted to order it for my mom. As you mentioned, it was sold out so I ordered the one you just posted and it arrived a few days ago. I LOVE it and it just as great as the camel one. I am actually more excited to give her this one as I think she will wear it more-- but I highly suggest ordering it because those scarves are heaven!
