Suede in the summer

Blouse: H&M (similar), Skirt: Thrifted (similar steals here and here, splurge here), Heels: Zara (almost identical and super cheap!), Hat: J. Crew, Purse: c/o olivia + joy, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Bracelet: Forever 21

Apparently I'm into wearing all kinds of things this week that are inappropriate for warm weather -- first a sweater and now a suede skirt! This one is actually pretty lightweight, though, and I love the idea of mixing it with summery pieces. And would you believe that at one time it actually came down well past my knees? I did feel a little guilty about giving it a trim since it's real suede, but just felt like it looked so much better as a mini :)

Also, even though this is the first time I'm wearing it here, I've actually had it for a while and it's one of my favorite skirts year round! I love pairing it with tights and booties during the winter! Not bad for a $12 thrift store find, right?!

XO,
Alison

  1. LOVE this look! I have a very similar thrifted suede skirt in a darker cognac and never thought of wearing it in summer!
