NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil

I am the absolute worst when it comes to beauty products. I tend to stick to what I'm comfortable with and usually find/decide to try new things through recommendations from friends. I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that many of you are like me in that regard and - since I believe in paying it forward - when I do find a new product (all by myself, too!) it's only appropriate to share!

I wish there was a more magical and serendipitous story about how I found the NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil, but here's how it went down: I was ordering another item online and needed to meet the minimum requirement for free shipping (story of my life) so I added one of these guys to my cart. Pretty basic, right?

I was nervous about not seeing it in person, but after reading the description of the color, some Googling to see other people wearing it and mostly just being intrigued how a lip pencil could be glossy, I hit purchase. I decided on "Happy Days," a shimmery coral/pink shade. To my surprise, it's quickly became one of my favorite spring/summer colors! And I couldn't love the consistency more! As it warms up on your lips, it gets slightly gloss, but not wet-looking, which is exactly what I wanted. The color isn't overpowering, either. I've become such a fan that I plan to pick it up in other colors, too!
