I found this skirt in the back of my closet while packing to head up to Pennsylvania for Christmas. I had taken it with me last year after rummaging through my mom's closet. It was actually made by my grandmother - who was a seamstress - for my mom when she was around my age. With that in mind, I figured that Christmas Eve was the perfect time to take it out for a spin!
I love the old fashioned fullness of the skirt, and the fact that it's velvet! If there's any time to wear velvet, it's the holiday season! Paired with tartan and some sparkle and I was set.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that it was filled with family, friends and way too much good food! Next up: New Year's Eve!
