Shirt: Forever 21 (this one is next!), Skirt: Forever 21 (similar), Booties: Forever 21 (similar), Tights: Target, Scarf: H&M (similar), Purse: Forever 21 (sold out online, but also love this one), Bracelets: ASOS (and only $10!) and BCBG, Watch: Michael Kors

My husband was confused by this outfit - which is usually a sign that it's a good one! When I asked him how it looked he said the top was more farmer/country, while the bottom was very urban and he didn't know if the two went together. I told him any outfit that combines city and country was fine by me and the juxtaposition of the two looks was exactly what I was going for.

Do you run outfits by your significant other? If so, how much weight do their opinions hold (if any) when deciding to wear it or not? In my case, it really depends on how much I like the outfit, but I'm interested in how you guys handle it!

Happy Monday!

XO,
Alison

  2. Haha - he sounds just like my husband! Some days I don't know why I bother asking his opinion. :)

I personally love this mix and that bright lippy is fantastic on you!

  4. I agree that if it confuses the bf it's usually a pretty good sign ;)

  5. Haha that's too funny, I sometimes ask my dad and if he doesn't say anything at all then I know it's a great outfit lol. I really love how you mixed the two Different look into one.

  6. This is one of my favorite looks of yours! I love the country meets city vibe and how you paired the leather skirt with a plaid top! Love it! xo

  7. My ex used to have the funniest explanations for my outfits. If it was a floral dress he'd say, "I didn't know Betty White was in town!" If it was a very graphic top he's simple say, "It hurts my eyes." I appreciate his input, even if I didn't always follow it! - J
