Lucky FABB recap : Part one

Have you ever been to an overnight camp of any kind? Maybe it was for an entire summer or just a weekend. But for a period of time you find yourself immersed in something totally different than what you're used to and, even though it's over in the blink of an eye, suddenly feels like you'd been there forever.

The Lucky FABB conference was a bit like this for me. A fashion and beauty blogger summer camp, if you will. And I seriously had the most amazing time.

I have a lot of thoughts to share regarding the conference itself (i.e. the panels, the structure/organization, etc.) which I will address in a separate post, but for my first recap I just wanted to focus on the inspiration.

The personal connections and friendships made at events like this are, hands down, the most valuable to me. I was ecstatic to spend more time with bloggers I already consider friends in addition to getting the chance to connect with those whom I had only hoped to one day meet.

Most importantly, I can definitely say that I am coming away from this experience feeling refreshed and my passion for blogging has been revitalized. It's hard not to feel this way when you're surrounded by so much inspiration. (If nothing else, you'll get a ton of really awesome outfit ideas!) But it's really about being around like-minded people who are supportive, encouraging, helpful and believe in what you're doing just as much as you do.

I think the most important thing I took away is the fact that there is a place for bloggers and it's being recognized more and more each and every day. People can't ignore you when you truly love what you're doing! And that's something all success stories have in common.
