Outfit post: Peek-a-back poinsettia

Dress: H&M (very similar here, cheaper version here), Tights: Target (similar), Fur stole: Vintage (similar), Heels: Nine West, Clutch: Francesca's Collections (similar), Teardrop bracelet: c/o LYLIF, Rhinestone bracelets: Cache (similar)

I had planned to wear a dress already in my closet (novel concept, I know) to the husband's Christmas party last night, but when I stumbled upon this dress in H&M recently, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Not only is the bright red perfect for any holiday party, but the opening in the back give it just the right amount of surprise. From the front it's a simple shift dress, but then turn around and BAM! Sexy but still classy.

To keep warm, I threw on this mink stole that was given to my mom years ago who in turn gave it to me. It's such a beautiful vintage piece - and so luxurious! It's definitely not something I would buy for myself (PETA, please note), but I'm glad to have the chance to style something so old in a new, modern way.

What are you lovelies wearing to your holiday parties this year?

P.S. Isn't that one heck of a post title? You can thank Vincent for that little gem. A headline writer and personal photographer? I'm a lucky girl :)

  1. Love The back!
Makes it sassy without having to lose the sleeves. Have never understood why all the party dresses for the holidays are strapless or one shoulder. Cute but so cold!!
