Easy as DCT

I always love reading about the beauty products that make my favorite bloggers look fabulous on a daily basis, so I thought it was high time to share one that's been a staple in both my makeup bag and handbag for years now. (No, really, I have one in both places.)

Allow me to introduce Blistex's Daily Conditioning Treatment. So far, it has definitely lived up to the "daily" part, because there's probably not a day that goes by where I don't dab this on.

DCT goes on clear and gives your lips a natural shine, making it a great substitute for lip gloss or lipstick while still allowing you to look polished and pulled together. It also contains menthol, which not only creates a cooling sensation, but plumps your pout (umm...who doesn't want to look like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley??) and brings your natural coloring to the surface.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that it's actually good for your lips? This little tub is packed with the moisturizers aloe and cocoa butter along with vitamins A and E.

It also has something many of our go-to glosses don't: sunscreen (SPF20). It's all too easy to forget about our lips when it comes to protecting ourselves from the sun. And since they're one of the most sensitive areas, it's just as important to shield them from the elements - not just now during beach season, but also during the winter months when the sun, though not as strong, can still create skin damage and the harsh temperatures tend to dry out our skin.

At around $2.50 (prices vary), this product isn't glamorous or expensive and won't invoke any kind of department store cosmetic counter label lust. But sometimes, classic and simple is the way to go.
